Michelle L. Kleman, O.D.
Dr. Michelle Kleman earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Toledo in 2013. In 2014, she became a certified Ophthalmic Assistant and gained valuable experience at the Pajka Eye Center, where she worked for three years before pursuing her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. She graduated in May 2020 and returned to her hometown of Kalida, Ohio, to dedicate her career to serving the residents of Northwest Ohio.
While at the Illinois College of Optometry, Dr. Kleman was honored with the College of the Year Award by the Class of 2020 and received travel grants in 2018 and 2019 to present her research on Narrow Angle Glaucoma at the American Academy of Optometry. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Lima Lions Club.
Dr. Kleman specializes in diabetic eye exams, glaucoma screening and management, and the diagnosis and treatment of various eye conditions and diseases. She also provides foreign body removal services and dry eye therapy. Please note that Dr. Kleman does not perform routine eye exams or prescribe glasses or contact lenses.
A lifelong resident of Kalida, Dr. Kleman lives with her husband, Cody, and their three daughters: Meredith, Vivienne, and Blair. In her free time, she enjoys running and staying active in her community.
